The BELONG Study was selected to present at the SAPC Annual Scientific Meeting held in Cardiff.
The research team presented the findings of the process evaluation which demonstrated that salon-based interventions can serve as a viable and community-centered approach to improving the uptake of NHS health checks in deprived and ethnically dense neighbourhoods in London.
By embedding health conversations within trusted social spaces, this model fosters accessibility, engagement, and preventive health awareness among clients who may not actively seek care in traditional healthcare settings.
