Brainstorming increasing uptake of NHS health checks for women

The BELONG workshop brought together salon owners and staff, hair and beauty therapy trainers, general practice (GP) staff, community support workers and researchers to reflect on their experiences in the study, views on heart health promotion, and to brainstorm ideas for successful delivery and scaling-up of the BELONG salon study across London.

Part of the BELONG study, organised by the Department of Population Health Sciences within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences, the workshop gave an opportunity to discuss recruitment and participation for salons and practices, successful partnerships and how to achieve long term change.
